外形特征Description
金腹卷尾猴体长36-42厘米；尾长38-49厘米；重量1.4-4.8公斤。雄性略大。金腹卷尾猴的胸部、腹部及上臂呈黄色至金色，但个别或性别之间存在着些微不同。面部呈浅褐色，冠呈深或浅褐色。金腹卷尾猴并没有明显的毛簇，大部份都是位于头部背面，故较难见到。上面部有短毛，眼睛周园较深色。四肢及尾巴都较为深色。以往相信它们是黑帽卷尾猴的亚种，但现已成为独立的物种。

金腹卷尾猴孕期大约180天，通常每胎产1仔。雌性4岁性成熟。

The golden-bellied capuchin (Sapajus xanthosternos), also known as the yellow-breasted or buffy-headed capuchin, is one of several species of New World monkeys.
Although there are differences between individuals as well as between the sexes and across age groups, C. xanthosternos is described as having a distinctive yellow to golden red chest, belly and upper arms. Its face is a light brown and its cap for which the capuchins were first named is a dark brown/black or light brown. Formerly thought to be a subspecies of tufted capuchin (C. apella), it was elevated to the status of species.
