描述： l l . Scutiger rugosa sp. nov. Type—No。 909 young specimen, Yen-wo-t’ang (燕窝塘). chao-chiao-hsien, Sikang; 11,000 feet altitude, May 4, 1942. Collector You-wen Kou. Diagnosis—Related to Scutiger sikkimensis, skinwith numercus warts piovided with spines, indistinct dark dark bars only on femur, toes about one-fourth webbed. Description of the type:— Body somewhat flattened, and 35 mm. long from snout to vent; yomerine teeth wanting, tongue free behind and distinctly notched. Head large, broader than long, and dorse-ventrally flattened; snout founded; canthus rostralis slightly shown; loreak regien coneave;nostrils nesrer to the tip of snout than to eye; internasal space smaller than interorbital space which is equal to the width of upper eyelid; tympanum hidden. Arm slender and long; lower arm about half of the body length; finger rounded, slendetr and long with lightcolored roun led tips; first finger sherter than the second but the fourth finger longer than the second with the third finger the longest; subarticular tubercles indistinet; an inner large large rounded palmar tubercle and an outer smaller elliotical palmar tubercle. Legs moderately long and rather slender: the tibio-tarsal articula-tion reaching the middle of the eye, and the heels slightly over-lapping when placed at right angkes to the body; tibia containing 16% of the body length from tip of snout to vent; toes about one-fourth webbed and sl ghtly fringed laterally; subarticular tubercle indistinct; tips rounded; inner metatarsal tubercle oval and highly elevated, abou 5.7% of the body length; outer tubercle lack ng. Skin rough on dersal sides of head, body and limbs; many small warts with spines on their tops scattered on the head and the limbs; larger founded, oval or elongated warts provided with spones on the back and sldes of the body; a strong glandular fold from posterior corner of eye to the shoulder; anal region with small rounded light color glends; a large oval gland enclosed by dark color on middle posterior aspect of each femur: throat, belly and ventral sides of limbs smooth. The color is dark brown-gray abobe; lower region of limbs with same color but the upper arms and legs lighter in color with indistlnct dark colored bars; digital tips mech lighter in coloration; jaws marked by dark colored bars; throat , belly and ventral sides of limbs greatly stipples with gray.
